Dear Carly Fiorina, - Hawk's Eyrie
It's all about releasing your inner sociopath
Dear Carly Fiorina,
Dear Carly Fiorina,

I have no desire to see you screw over California the way you screwed over HP. There are quite a few of us who remember how much damage you did there.

I hope Tom Campbell kicks your idiotic ass.

With much loathing,

She took a top Silicon Valley company, which practically invented the top spot in "best places to work", and turned it into yet another money-losing hellhole.

And was given multiple millions of dollars for doing so.

Hell, I could fuck up a large company like that for only a couple million bucks! They should'a hired me!

To be fair, the above doesn't remotely capture the list of stupid HP decisions she made. Here's one for-instance:

HP medical instruments were receiving massive premiums for being the undisputed best before that idiot dumped them into "Agilent" and undermined the business line. Like synergy but backwards.

Then there is the way she handled the Compaq acquisition. Fraud on the order should come with jail time.

To be fair, HP's product demand going down doesn't mean that a company has to go tits up from being a good employer to work for, to a horrible employer. SGI, on its way down, didn't screw their employees over anywhere near as much. Even with a CEO who was as horrific as Fiorina (or possibly worse, depending upon whom you speak with)

Agreed. If a CEO has driven a company into the ground - why do you want to hire them again? And why do you give them millions of dollars to do that?

I have no clue if it had air time. That would mean I watch commercials. I went & googled for it.

I was just bemused by how they put the whole thing together. And seem to have no idea - or don't care - that sometimes being fiscally conservative means raising taxes. Or that those pledges to not raise taxes mean nothing *for example, coughcough, George H 'Read My Lips' Bush'*
