Heroes:
Season 3, Episode 1. Synopsis:

Mohinder is very, very, pretty but very, very, stupid.

Also, whoa! Please keep the creepy fangirls away from the cast. Seriously. Don't let them go up and touch Milo.

Black Panther:

stopsnitchin: BET will be putting out a Black Panther animated series on BET this fall (I'll have to check the exact date later). Hudlin's writing, they're keeping true to JR JR's art (yuck!) and it will be "edgy, violent, and true to the books". Oh, and I got to see a promo of it.

No, they cleaned some of it up. It's still taking clichés from comic books, but it's a lot of fun. It's definitely starting off with a bang.

*sigh*

He said he was going to fix the wrongness, he said.

...as for Black Panther, I have no hope for that show. The man wrecked my goddess to marry them off because as "the two most prominent black characters in Marvel, they should be married."

I'm not getting into your debate on Black Panther. I don't read the book (can't stand JR JR's art), but when I have seen the characters elsewhere I have liked it.

However, let's see if this cheers you up:

Adam: Legend of the Blue Marvel: Written by Kevin Grevioux and art by Mat Broome.

In the late '50's/early '60's there was a black superhero - stronger than Superman, weaker than Thor - that protected the US. He wore a mask, and no one knew his race because back then a strong black male would have scared the main populace of the US, even if he was protecting their dumb asses. During a battle royale, after taking down a difficult villain, his mask got ripped and JFK found out. JFK asked him to stand down, because he was trying to push through civil rights, and he did not want the chance that the scare of a black man that powerful derailing it. So, to serve his country, he stood down.

Cut to a few years later. The Avengers have now assembled. This same villain is back, and they need to find out how to defeat it. So they start to investigate who and what the Blue Marvel was, to learn what to do.

Six issues, starts in November.

And Kevin Grevioux has a great gravely voice.

JRJr's art is so-so to okay when it's good, and "dear god, pass the eyesporks" any other time.

Not trying to draw you into a debate, though; just giving my opinion.

The Blue Marvel does sound interesting.

Thanks for the blurb.

You're welcome! I have no clue how JR JR is an award-winning artist. Truly. Really.

And I don't mind the debates - if someone else wants to get into that question with you, I'm fine with that. It's just that I can't read the core book because the art annoys me so much, hence I don't have the easy background knowledge to back up my opinion one way or another.
