Second verse, same as the first... or not. In addition to the DC panel, I saw the first episode of the new Kid's WB show Spectacular Spider-Man [Verdict: Looks pretty good.] and saw the J. Michael Straczynski (aka JMS) panel.

Potential Spoilers Ahead. You have been warned.

Spectacular Spider-Man animated:
Not much to say on this. The animation was fairly good, despite the creepy big-eyes that they gave everyone. There's going to be at least 26 episodes, despite Kid's WB going away next year. They're not sure yet where the last 13 episodes will be aired.

They're planning on story arcs, and they "borrowed" from all the various Spiderman properties - the mainstream books, the Ultimate series, movies, etc. It's going to showcase Gwen Stacey, Harry Osborn, & Peter. In the first episode we get to meet the Vulture, Kurt Conners, Eddie Brock, Hammerhead, and the Enforcers. You gotta love anything that introduces you to Fancy Dan, Montana, and Ox in the first episode!

Oh, and it was (accidentally) slipped that we'll be meeting up with Venom at some point.

JMS panel:
As usual, JMS has an ego. As usual, he knows it and was pretty entertaining.

He reiterated the news that was announced in the DC panel, that he will no longer be exclusive with Marvel. He will continue to work on Thor and The Twelve for them. He's also going to be working with Image on two-creator owned titles called Justice and Ten Grand(IIRC). That was signed last week. He wants to get a good amount of them written up before they start publishing them.

Rising Stars is under talks to be optioned by a major studio, and he's looking at adapting Midnight Nation as a screenplay for the movie company he's thinking of starting next year.

Supreme Power started sucking because JMS just couldn't get into it. He & Marvel decided to put it on hiatus for a while for him to get his head back on with that.

Lots of other stuff was talked about, but it was all Bab 5 so I didn't take notes. I'd say sorry, but, well, you know.
